Bristol Shopping Centre

Comprising over one million sqm feet of high quality shops, resturants and leisure space the Bristol Shopping complex project was set to lift Bristol into the the top ten UK retail destinations.

The main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine awarded the structural glazing contract to Metic Glass Sales Ltd.

Working with EU Glass and the glass supplier Wagener (a member of the Arnold Group) all parties delivered over 2,600 sqm (over 1200 units) of single and double glazed high specification glass to site.

Over 50% of the units supplied incorporated Vanceva  coloured interlayers.

The sealed units were produced to meet all the requirements for structural glazed applications: consisting of 8 or 10mm Heat Soaked Toughened outer pane, utilising Arcon’s Neutralux advance N33 low-E coating.

The Units were produced with a toggle system (Schuco) and a structural silicon seal.

Units sizes varied form 2610 X 1620 up to 3030 X 2420 and larger.

As an approved Schuco manufacture Wagener is able to produce the units required as well as offering full technical back up.
