Ornilux Bird Protection Glass

Around the world millions of birds a year are killed due to collisions with glass from man-made structures. Bird window strikes are one of the reasons for a decline in bird populations around the world.

Bird Deaths are caused by all glass structures, from large sky scrapers to normal residential home windows and glass balustrades.

To help eradicate this problem The Arnold Glass Group have come up with a solution in the form of "Ornilux Bird Protection Glass" - with its roots in Biomimicry Design Theory, a discipline that studies nature's best ideas and then imitates these designs and processes to solve human problems.

Birds see light in the Ultra Violet spectrum and there is a proposed theory of how some spiders use UV reflective strands of silk n their webs.

Birds see the web and are able to avoid collision, thus preserving the spiders ability to capture their prey. Arnold Glass have used this theory and brought to market after years of research and development a product that works and saves the lives of thousands of birds.
